Getting Ready for the Ride Across America

The Journey begins!  Spike & David headed out with the RV for the 10 day trip to San Francisco.  Their Mission? 

1.  Get the RV to San Francisco  
2.  Work out all of the RV bugs, like the refrigerator not running!  (Thank you 'George' wherever you are)

Back in Connecticut...

The Bike For Bread Staff meets to discuss final details of the journey.

At the meeting, Ray delegates his responsibilities to various volunteers so that he can concentrate on training for the ride.  In this picture, Ray delegates all problems and worries to Paul Nezuh....

 

Who quickly passes them off to Kelley Silvestri (center) and Shirley Surrette (right).

... Having delegated his responsibilities, Ray's only concern now is the lunch box.

Ray and Aaron fly into San Francisco to meet Dave and Spike with the RV.

Ray visits with Gretta Wark, who works at the San Francisco Food Bank.  We were all very impressed with the facilities of the food bank.  (Thanks for your hospitality Gretta).
