Biking for Bread Across
America
California to
Connecticut
BIKE FOR BREAD
Across America departed
from Stockton,
California on June 24,
2000. After a 37-day
ride, Ray and the team arrived
in Willimantic on July 30, 2000.
The
final miles of the ride
provided the other
riders the opportunity
to join in the effort by
participating in a "Community Ride".
The Community Ride allowed bicyclists to
join Ray for the last 25, 16, 10, 5, or 2 miles of the Bike for
Bread Across America's 3,087 mile trip. (See
Day
37 - The Final Leg)
The Community Ride concluded with
a Welcome Home rally in Willimantic Connecticut that was attended
by many local and State
leaders.
See
the
Daily
Journal and Maps below for specifics on the 37-day Bike For Bread
Across America trip.
