2000 Bike For Bread
Across America
On June 24, 2000, the
BIKE FOR BREAD team
headed up by Ray Aramini
departed from Stockton,
California and set out
to bike 3,037 miles
across America to finish
in Willimantic
Connecticut on July 30,
2000. The ride was
successful and concluded
with a "Community Ride"
allowing bicyclists to
join in on the last 25,
16, 10, 5, or 2 miles of
the Bike for Bread
Across America trip. Ray
and the staff of Bike
For Bread were welcomed
home by a celebration in
Willimantic attended by
many local and State
leaders.
1996 500-Mile Canada to
Connecticut Ride
In the summer of 1996,
Bike For Bread had its
first event which
covered 500 miles from
the border of Canada to
Willimantic, CT and
raised over $65,000.
