The Events
Since June of 2005,
the third graders at Oswegatchie School have joined
forces with
Bike
for
Bread in a
Bike-A-Thon
to help raise money for those in need in southeastern
Connecticut - many of which are children.
On June 24th, 2000, Ray
Aramini began a bicycle ride from California to
Connecticut that took him 37 days to complete. The goal
was to raise over $300,000 to benefit the
Connecticut FoodBank, Foodshare of Greater
Hartford, and the Covenant Soup Kitchen in
Willimantic Connecticut. See
The Route.
Bike For Bread began in the summer of 1996
when Ray rode 500 miles from the border of Canada to
Willimantic, CT and raised over $65,000 for the Covenant
Soup Kitchen. See
1996 Ride.
